It exists, the Lambrusco in high quality, even if it is still rare beyond the borders of Italy.
The name "Labrusca" literally stood for a "wild" vine family, a group of red grape varieties. It has retained its wildness to this day, even with a rather shady reputation for a while. But now it more than lives up to our claim: Four Lambrusco grapes already proudly carry the DOP seal of approval - and you can taste it!
A dry Lambrusco DOP of the right quality is simply fun. Our sparkling, pearly LAMBRUSCO DI SORBARA DOP as a dry rosé, with its rosé-red brilliance and its happy character, pleasant but never too "binding", is likeable and promises summer mood (even in winter). Even the Romans valued Sorbara as a convivial wine. In the literature, the aroma is described as the scent of violets. The bouquet is reminiscent of strawberries and raspberries. A great Lambrusco must be a DOP!
