JJ Manöverschluck segeln selbst für ihr Leben gern. David am liebsten auf der Ostsee und Jens im Mittelmeer. Bei einem gemeinsamen Segeltörn kam ihnen die Idee für einen neuen Lieblingsdrink. Daraus wurde JJs Manöverschluck.
Preisgekröntes Design
Die Flaschen kommen im auffälligen maritimen Design daher. Die Farben von Bojen und Tonnen werden in einem speziellen Verfahren auf die Flaschen aufgetragen und die Holzkorken erinnern an die vielen wunderschönen Holzboote. Dafür wurden Sie mit dem weltweit renommierten iF Design Award ausgezeichnet.
Was ist eigentlich ein Manöverschluck???
Woher kommt der Manöverschluck?
Die Tradition des Manöverschlucks stammt von der Royal Navy aus einer Zeit, zu der die tägliche Ration Rum noch selbstverständlich war. Wenn die Mannschaft eine besonders gefährliche Notfallreparatur durchgeführt hatte, bekam sie eine extra Ration Rum, den Manöverschluck. Auf Englisch heißt der Manöverschluck übrigens "Splicing the Mainbrace", wie auch das Notfallmanöver.
Der moderne Manöverschluck
Heutzutage wird der Manöverschluck von Sport- und Hobby-Seglern als Belohnung für ein gelungenes Manöver oder einen besonderen Moment gemeinsam getrunken. Manöver können auch Kurswechsel während der Fahrt sein. Aber es ist nicht ratsam, bei jedem Kurswechsel einen Manöverschluck zu zelebrieren. Ein Manöverschluck besteht in der Regel aus einem hochprozentigen Getränk. Es steht jedem Crewmitglied frei, sich an einem Manöverschluck zu beteiligen. Es wird übrigens davon abgeraten, einen Manöverschluck während eines Manövers auszuführen, da man sich leicht verschlucken kann, was als "Manöververschluck" bezeichnet wird. Ein Manöverschluck ohne Manöver wird nur selten praktiziert und wird mithin als "Schluckmanöver" bezeichnet.
