Many years of experience in selecting the fruits, their processing and the skillful distilling of the Williams Christ pears allow Prinz to produce this schnapps of exquisite quality. The juicy pears ripen under ideal conditions in the gardens of their fruit growers and give the Williams schnapps its fine, fruity, slightly sweet aroma. Proper processing requires not only know-how, but also a lot of experience. This is the only way to create such a taste-intensive delicacy.
The Williams pears delivered to Prinz im Obsthof are carefully checked for damage, degree of ripeness, smell and taste before they are processed. The white flesh should be soft but not mushy. After mashing, the mash matures in fermentation tanks for some time. Here the keen nose of our experienced master distillers is required to choose the right time for the distillation. In the gentle fine distilling process, at particularly low temperatures, a distillate with an incredibly strong varietal character is created. In order for a really good Williams schnapps to emerge from this, it needs enough time to mature. The distillate is stored for several years in different containers, such as the fine-pored earthenware. There the taste can develop optimally. In addition, the rest period makes the schnapps milder.

The master distillers at Prinz keep checking the taste and smell of the schnapps. Only when they are satisfied is the Williams pear schnapps ready to be enjoyed and put in the bottle typical of the prince. But how does he taste, Willi? Unmistakable, in the nose and on the palate. The varietal taste is easy to recognize even for inexperienced schnapps drinkers. The characteristic scent, clear, pure fruit aromas on the palate with a long finish. Drinking recommendation: Enjoy the Williams pear schnapps in a noble schnapps goblet or from the small schnapps glass at a temperature between 17 and 18 °C.
