Rum from Fiji is an insider tip. The small Pacific island has been enriching the rum market with fine quality products for quite some time. We have the Rum Co. of Fiji to thank for this, which has been active as a distillery in Lautoka since 1980. It is dedicated to several product lines such as Ratu and Bati, among others.

After distillation, the RATU premium dark rum, made from locally grown sugar cane from plantations with fertile volcanic soil, is transferred from Fiji to charred oak barrels to mature for half a decade. It was then flavored and subjected to a special filtration through coconut shell charcoal. The extraordinary RATU Fijian Premium Dark Rum 5 years with its beautiful, dark color has a pleasantly low alcohol content. It not only benefits from locally sourced sugar cane, but also from the island's soft, clear waters.

Strictly speaking, the exciting RATU Signature Blend Rum Liqueur 8 Years is a lovingly designed rum-based spirit or rum liqueur. This is indicated by the relatively low alcohol content. The basis for the flavoured, sweetened spirit is high-quality rum from Fiji - and not white rum, as is so often the case with liqueurs. Rather, the rum distilled from sugar cane (grown on fertile, volcanic soil) was given the chance to age in oak barrels for nearly a decade. This explains the dark color of the fine RATU Signature Blend Rum Liqueur 8 Years and its high quality. After resting in burned-out wooden barrels, the distillate was filtered through coconut shell charcoal. The reddish amber sparkling spirit was also refined with the pure water of the island and with selected natural ingredients.

Aromas of orange zest, dark chocolate and coffee. In the mouth, soft coconut flavors come into their own, paired with spicy oak notes. The finish will be accompanied by the enjoyment of fresh citrus tones.
