This tequila blanco from El Tequileno is proof that a mixto tequila can also be excellent in terms of quality and taste!
Actually, mixto tequilas are crap, right? 99% of the time this is true. But this Tequila Blanco from El Tequileno is out of line here: On the one hand, the agave content is significantly higher at 71% (instead of 51% as is usual with Mixto Tequila), on the other hand, the remaining 29% component is not an inferior unknown substitute.
This is the Mexican Piloncillo ("Panella") sugar cane from our own, controlled cultivation. No fully automatic production ("diffuser") is used in the production, as is usual with other tequila mixtos or cheap tequila. These facts are communicated transparently, which is why we offer you this mixto tequila.
We are currently not aware of any other tequila that is produced in this way. That's why this bottle will definitely be the exception! Subtle cask aging for a Tequila Blanco? All Blanco Tequila from El Tequileno are aged for 14 days in American oak barrels, including this Tequila Blanco. The barrel aging takes away some of the edges from the tequila. Good idea right?
