The binchopan is the most sustainable way to grill. With the binchopan you can light your binchotan in a fast and authentic way. By placing the binchotan upright in the pan, you create concentrated heat that will quickly get your charcoal glowing. The binchopan also doubles as a lid, so you can easily reuse your binchotan and reduce carbon emissions.
With the binchopan you can easily and quickly light your binchotan. The pan consists of three parts, a lid, a middle and a bottom. You start by stuffing the middle part with binchotan. Place the binchotan pieces upright in the center piece. Then place the bottom, logo side down, on a fireproof surface. Place firelighters or another firelighter on the ground. Then place the middle piece on top. After 15-30 minutes the binchotan will be glowing and you can fill your grill.
To extinguish the binchotan after use, place the bottom of the pan, logo side up, on a fireproof surface. Place the middle piece on top. Then fill the center piece with the glowing binchotan and seal the oxygen with the lid.
If you use the binchopan as a fire extinguisher, you can reuse your charcoal for the next barbecue session. This allows you to use your fuel more sustainably and reduce CO2 emissions.
Please note that the bincho pot handle will get hot during use. With the binchopan you can light both your shichirin and your kamado.
