Cake blogger and cake book author Ditte Julie from The Big Bake-off has partnered with Mill & Mortar to create a spice mix for fruit and berry cakes and desserts.
Ditte Julie approached Mill & Mortar with the idea of developing a spice mix that could be used in sweet cooking. Her starting point was a passion for that little extra that spices can add to the sweetness, while at the same time she was tired of the many little bags of spices, the long recipes where you need a little bit of this spice and a little bit of that. It simply lacked a mix that would go well with sweet cuisine in general and with fruit and berries in particular.
CAKE FACTOR has a balanced aroma of allspice, ground mace, star anise, real Sri Lankan cinnamon and hints of cloves and ginger.
Ditte Julie not only uses CAKE FACTOR to add a sophisticated touch to the wonderful Danish berries and fruits in cakes and desserts, but also for cream puffs and layer cakes, for raw cream and chamomile tea, for marinated fruits and jams and much more...
You can also try CAKE FACTOR in your spice cake, in Christmas cookies and in your favorite dessert.
