The GlenAllachie 12 y.o. ist ein Single Malt Scotch aus der Speyside. Es ist das Herz der Range von The GlenAllachie und ist abgefüllt in Trinkstärke mit 46 % vol. Die vollmundige Reife kommt aus zwei Fasstypen. Die erste Reifung ist in ex 1st fill Bourbon Fässern. Das Finish findet in ausgesuchten PX-/Oloroso- & Virgin Oak Fässern statt. Der Single Malt ist 100% natürlich. Er ist nicht kühlfiltriert und wird nicht gefärbt.
Tasting Notes:
Der bronzefarbene Single Malt Scotch Whisky duftet nach Butterscotch, Honig und Caffè Mocha. Am Gaumen gesellen sich Aromen von Marzipan, Banane und Rosinen hinzu.
Trinkempfehlung:
Pur oder je nach Geschmack mit etwas Wasser.

Als das Team um Whiskykorophäe Billy Walker 2017 The GlenAllachie Distillery samt befüllten Fässern übernahm und in schottische Hand zurückbrachte, produzierte die Brennerei aus der Speyside fast ausschließlich für die Blend-Industrie. Dieses Blatt hat sich schnell gewendet. Die Standard-Range von GlenAllachie besteht heute aus mindestens zehn Jahre alten Single Malts. Ihr Charakteristikum: Alle Standards reifen in ausgewählten Sherry-Fässern mit verschiedenen Finishes - oft abseits vom Mainstream.
