Barrel planks for indirect grilling of fish, meat or vegetables.

Plank grilling has its origins on the North American Pacific coast and is gradually spreading among ambitious grill masters around the world. Tender grilled food, especially fish, is indirectly grilled on a soaked wooden plank and thus refined with a fine smoke aroma. Depending on the choice of wood, the food to be grilled can be enhanced with certain flavor nuances.

When grilling with the wooden plank, only a few things have to be considered. It is important that the wooden board is soaked in water for one to four hours before use. The plank must be completely under water and, if necessary, weighed down with a heavy object. Soaking prevents the plank from burning immediately and also protects the grilled food from drying out. Depending on your preference, the water can be enriched with wine, beer or whiskey for a special aroma.

When grilling, make sure to let the plank "dry" briefly in direct heat before you put the food on. In general, however, the grilling board should not be positioned directly over the embers and the grilling temperature must not exceed 180 degrees. If the smoke is too strong, then the grilling plank is too close to the heat source and should rather be moved to an indirect area.

Place the food to be grilled on the board as centrally as possible with a distance to the edge. Since the wooden plank gets very hot, you should only touch it with suitable equipment, such as grill tongs or grill gloves.

Simply clean reusable grilling planks with warm water and a hard brush after use. Do not use soap, otherwise your board will give off a soapy taste the next time you grill it.

Unless a different period is specified in the respective offer, goods will be delivered domestically (Germany) within 2-4 days, and for international deliveries within 5-7 days after conclusion of the contract (in case of agreed advance payment, after the time of your payment instruction).
