JJ Manöverschluck loves sailing. David prefers the Baltic Sea, and Jens the Mediterranean. During a sailing trip together, they came up with the idea for a new favorite drink. This became JJ's Manöverschluck.

Where does the maneuver swallow come from?
The tradition of the maneuver sip originates in the Royal Navy, from a time when a daily ration of rum was still a given. If the crew had performed a particularly dangerous emergency repair, they received an extra ration of rum, the maneuver sip. Incidentally, the maneuver sip is called "splicing the mainbrace," just like the emergency maneuver.
The modern maneuver swallow
Nowadays, the maneuver sip is shared by both recreational and amateur sailors as a reward for a successful maneuver or a special moment. Maneuvers can also be course changes while underway. However, it is not advisable to celebrate a maneuver sip with every course change. A maneuver sip usually consists of a high-proof drink. Any crew member is free to participate. Incidentally, it is discouraged to perform a maneuver sip during a maneuver, as it is easy to choke, which is referred to as a "maneuver sip." A maneuver sip without a maneuver is rarely practiced and is therefore referred to as a "sip maneuver."
