This velvet grass, also known as hare's tail grass, is ideal for creating sophisticated dried flower arrangements. Choose this striking and easy-care decorative element for your home or business space and instantly bring a natural ambiance to your home or business.

The most classic variation is to cleverly display the velvet grass dried flower bouquets in a large vase – either alone or in combination with other dried flowers.

In addition to pampas grass and bundles of sarash, palm leaves and cotton branches are also ideal for this. You can place the vase of dried flowers on a small, round pandan straw rug decorated with white shells, for example.

Velvet grass, scientifically known as Lagurus ovatus, is native to the Mediterranean region, where it can be found as far west as the Atlantic coast and as far southeast as the Arabian Peninsula. However, it has long since found its way to Central and Northern Europe, and also grows on other continents, such as North America, for example, along roadsides and sandy meadows. Hare's tail grass thrives best in dry, warm-summer, and fine-soil-poor soils.

Velvet grass has always been used for decorative purposes, for example in dried bouquets or dried flower arrangements, but it is also occasionally cultivated as an ornamental plant in gardens. However, the dried flowers can also be used in a more innovative way: to create striking wall decorations. To do this, simply tie the dried flowers together using a pretty rope.
