The "Trebbiano di Lugana Turbiana" grapes have been growing and thriving in northern Italy's Lombardy region for centuries. They make up a significant proportion of the Italian export hit and favorite white wine, Lugana.
This Mediterranean paradise, with its warm summers and rather mild winters, is ideal for producing classy and elegant wines. Not far from the picturesque southern shore of Lake Garda, between Brescia and Verona, are the vineyards of the "Azienda Agricola Brunello", where the vines thrive on sandy, loamy and calcareous soils.
This Lugana DOC immediately shines when poured with its radiant light yellow with green reflections. In the nose, aromas of citrus, ripe stone fruit and delicate vegetative notes are immediately loud. Furthermore, the stone fruit can be perceived as a ripe peach, accompanied by wonderfully ripe grapefruit and apples.
This round northern Italian appears on the palate with a fruity but fresh taste experience, which is supported by a well-balanced acid structure. The finish is long-lasting and fresh, with delicate hints of stone fruit and herbs.
