This magnificent Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru champagne is made from their own Chardonnay plots in Chouilly, all Grand Cru locations (classification 100%), by the champagne house Legras & Haas.
The Legras family has been growing wine in Champagne for seven generations. And is in the fortunate position of having 38 hectares of vineyards, especially in the best Grand Cru locations around Chouilly.
The base wines are aged in stainless steel. Up to 50% of base wines from older vintages are often used for the assemblage in order to ensure consistently high quality and a recognizable aroma and taste over the years. A champagne for the connoisseur and an excellent aperitif champagne. Characteristic of this champagne is its beautiful length and great fullness. It is extremely supple on the mid-palate and fresh and persistent in the finish, as is typical of the Côte des Blancs. The aromas unfold expressively and diversely throughout the tasting: notes of honeysuckle, citrus fruits, elderberry and pear are the elements of a constantly changing bouquet.
