Der Negroamaro aus dem Hause Giustini erfreut den Betrachter mit einem strahlenden, aber nicht zu dunklen Granatrot, feine Aromen von Kirschen, Waldbeeren, Cassis und Pflaumen. Aber auch feine Anklänge, von zartem Tabak und Gewürzen machen diesen Wein Bemerkenswert. Bei genauerer Betrachtung kommen feine Nuancen von Feigen und leichte balsamische Noten zum Vorschein.
Am Gaumen findet sich in erster Linie eines, eine aufgeräumte und eine klar strukturierte Anordnung von Aromen. Weniger wild und stürmisch, wie viele seiner süditalienischen Brüder und Schwestern tritt er zwar mit breiter Brust aber dennoch nicht übermütig in den Vordergrund.
Die Aromen bilden ein feingliedriges Konstrukt aus Kirschen, Feigen, Pflaumen und Dörrfrüchten. Ergänzt wird diese kräftige, aber weiche Tanninstruktur durch Ideen von Leder, Tabak und Gewürzen.
Der Abgang ist breit und langanhaltend, bei einer gut ausbalancierten Säuretextur und einer harmonischen Fruchtigkeit. Man könnte fast meinen, diese elegante Symphonie eines Italienischen Rotweines kommt einem Waldspaziergang an einem warmen, aber späten Herbsttag gleich!
